As a Bricklayer-Mason, you will carry out masonry work according to plans and applicable standards. You will lay bricks, blocks, or stones to build, restore, or enhance walls and structures. You will play a key role in ensuring the strength and quality of our projects, while meeting safety and performance requirements.
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and sketches to determine the placement of materials.
Prepare surfaces (cleaning, leveling, applying membranes or coatings).
Lay bricks, concrete blocks, natural or artificial stone, and other masonry materials to build or cover walls, foundations, partitions, chimneys, or façades.
Mix and apply mortar or adhesives in accordance with industry standards.
Build load-bearing or non-load-bearing walls, columns, stairs, and other architectural elements.
Perform repointing, repairs, or restoration work on existing masonry.
Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and adjust materials.
Work in compliance with safety rules, quality standards, and construction deadlines.
Collaborate with other trades and the foreperson to ensure the smooth progress of the work.
