Estimator

As an Estimator, you will play a key role in project planning. You will analyze plans, estimate costs, and coordinate pricing requests. Your attention to detail and thoroughness will contribute to the preparation of accurate bids, ensuring the success and profitability of our projects.

• Interpret and analyze plans and specifications from tender documents
• Evaluate the quantities of materials, labor, and equipment required for project execution
• Estimate project duration, schedules, and resource needs
• Prepare pricing request documents, identify subcontractors and suppliers, and coordinate quote requests
• Analyze received bids, compare pricing, and recommend subcontractors
• Prepare the final bid and review it with the project manager
• Make necessary adjustments and validate the preliminary bid with the construction director
• Update the bid and forward it to the project assistant for finalization
• Participate in the project kickoff meeting with the project manager to review the mandate details
• Follow up with selected subcontractors and resources to ensure the project runs smoothly

• AEC in Construction Estimating
• Estimating experience with a general contractor
• Excellent proficiency with computer tools and software
• ASP Construction safety card (an asset)
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Daytime schedule, Monday to Friday
