Originally intended for the replacement of windows and exterior cladding, this project uncovered major water infiltration issues that compromised the building’s structural integrity. After consultation with the architect and structural engineer, it was decided to replace the entire load-bearing wall on the Atateken side across all floors.
With the client’s cooperation in relocating nearly all residents, temporary support walls were installed, allowing the exterior wall to be rebuilt in sections. The floors at the wall junction were reinforced, and insulation and waterproofing work was carried out.
Once these corrective measures were completed, the project was finalized with a new brick veneer, an Adex system on the top floor, and the replacement of the two curtain walls.
